- AOI Inspection: Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) is one of the most popular and preferred testing methods used today. It uses an optical imaging system to detect faults, defects, and issues related to soldering and assembly. Customers choose this process for its speed and accuracy.
- Manual Inspection: Despite its limitations, manual PCB inspection is chosen by many customers. In this process, we have individual testers who thoroughly examine the PCB, its components, and the assembly. They check the efficacy of the soldering, the placement and rigidity of the components, and the functionality of the product. This is also an extremely cost-effective method.
- AXI Inspection: Automated X-Ray Inspection (AXI) is the upgraded version of AOI. It follows the same principle of optical imaging; with only x-rays being the mode of image capture. AXI allows for the inspection of non-visible solder joints. This method is particularly useful for complex Ball Grid Array (BGA) designs.
